The Boston Bar Foundation is the charitable affiliate of the Boston Bar Association. It works to support access to the justice system, especially for the poor. The Fassino Foundation

Charles Hayden Foundation. - Boston
Emphasis: Youth Development and Education. Priority is given to programs that intervene early in young people’s lives, before a pattern of failure has been established, and continuously provide opportunities and supports over many years. Metropolitan Boston includes the City of Boston and adjacent municipalities located on the east side of an arc from Salem to Quincy that is roughly delineated by Route 128.

The Roy A. Hunt Foundation
When categorized according to the Foundation Center's Grants Classification System, the majority of grants are made in support of Arts and Culture, Environment, Health, and Human Services. While the Foundation also supports Education, preference is given to educational institutions of particular interest to individual trustees. 
 

Massachusetts Bar Foundation 
Through its grant programs and charitable activities, the foundation represents the commitment of the lawyers of Massachusetts to improve the administration of justice, to promote an understanding and appreciation of the judicial system and to ensure equal access to the fair and efficient resolution of legal disputes.

New England Biolabs Foundation
Areas of Interest: Provides support to grassroots organizations working with the environment, social change, the arts, elementary education, and science.The Foundation only funds projects in the US which are located in New England. Any educational or community projects are limited to Boston and the North Shore.

New England Foundation for the Arts
The New England Foundation for the Arts connects the people of New England with the power of art to shape our lives and improve our communities. Programs provide support for artists in community, in studio, in collaboration, and in exchange; touring and distribution; and professional development. The Riley Foundation
Boston continued to be the primary focus for the Foundation, with 99 percent of grant dollars allocated for projects within the city limits. Smaller grants were made to organizations in Chelsea, Newton and Cape Cod. The largest percentage of grants were made to: human services organizations - 34 percent; community development and housing - 26 percent; education and job training - 25 percent.

Roxbury Highland Charitable Foundation - Boston
The mission of the Roxbury Highland Charitable Foundation is to strengthen the communities of Jamaica Plain and Roxbury by broadening and enriching the cultural and educational opportunities and expanding the health services available to the residents.

Sun Microsystems Community Development Grants - Sun Microsystems Foundation

One-year grants of up to $50,000 are awarded to non-profit organizations located near Sun's major employment centers in the southern San Francisco Bay Area in California, the Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts, and the West Lothian District of Scotland.
